Mama

As most of you know Shelby's grandmother, Mama, passed away this past Sunday morning. It has been a rough week. Shelby had a truly wonderful relationship with his grandma, and I loved her and the kids absolutely adored her. Rylan will forever think she is a movie star because that is what Mama called her. Mama was loved by so many. It was absolutely amazing listening to people talk about her at the service today. She was so wise and full of such spunk, never have I met someone with more spunk than her. She was a truly incredible woman, loved by so many, and will be missed tremendously. She left an incredible legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Official Bus Rider!

Logan started off the school year as a car rider. After much discussion with us he decided that he wanted to ride the bus. I will not mention why exactly, except to tell you to talk to the Shelbster. It is actually a pretty funny reason. Anyhow, he loves it. He has met a lot of older kids from the neighborhood. I am not going to lie, it is a little bit hard for me when I hear what is going on in the buses these days, but Logan is the last stop, and it appears like he is safe. So, lets hear it for Logan!

And this one just because.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS RYLAN

Happy Birthday to my beautiful girl who turned 3 today! I can not believe it. She is such a big girl. I love you Rylan.

What a Weekend!

This past weekend the Jr. High group had a lock in. It was a blast. I did not last the whole night, but we were all going strong until midnight, yes, the kids included! The best part was the next day. Shelby was going pretty strong on no sleep, that is until that night. This is what happened....
GOOD TIMES!
While all of this is going on, a zombie husband, Logan invited his best bud Jake over for a sleepover. That was fun! They were so cute. They made a pallet on the floor, had to get the couch cushions and bring them upstairs. They brushed their teeth and were going to bed. Well, then they convinced me to watch Monsters INC, which I thought they would fall asleep watching...WRONG! They were still up at almost 11. Then, they go to sleep. At 2:20 they are at my bedside wanting to wake up, uh NO! Back to bed they go. FInally when they woke me up an 4:58 wanting to get up and play I said fine, whatever. I could not beleive it. Logan has issues waking up at 6:30 for school, but feels cool before 5 when a friend is over. I just do not get it. Anyhow, it was a great weekend. The kids totally crashed when we got home, and life is good. A great rainy day!

To my husband with love

I am not a sappy kind of gal, but I just feel the need to tell my husabnd how much I love him. Shelby, I know our lives are busy, and we do not get the time together we sometimes wish, but I love ya babe! You are the best husband ever! Everyone can get a tissue now....
